Flight of Destiny

Flight of Destiny: This RP had a start of a good text-based roleplay. The location setup of this RP includes androids and SP users, or so I recall. However, an RP is hard to keep going when the leader, or the captain in our case, keeps skipping sessions. We did not even make it to the ship. -_-;;

Characters: Louie (code/project name is Lucifer, but his friends and family named him Louie)

Age: Appearance indicates around 18 years old. However, like all AIs, it is not an accurate indication of his real age.

Personality: Very quiet and thoughtful; cool and calm; unattached to anything.

Race: AI (artificial intelligence). By definition, AI tend to be stoic and unsociable, with nothing but programmed logic functions to guide their actions. Louie is the odd one though, with very human feelings and… soul, for lack of a better term.

Equipment: MDU (Military Defense Unit), a small mechanism that can change shape and form on command, and generate various force fields and weapons. It can be placed anywhere on the user. Only an AI can activate and manipulate it at will. The one Louie has is very small, attached to the back of Louie’s left hand. It has the appearance of a piece of jewelry, decorated on the glove.

Abilities: A polite and dependable fighter, also capable as an assassin. Can merge with and hack into systems through his hand.

Clothing: Black, and a scarf that covers the lower half of his face. This started when he first enters the assassins’ business, fearing that his feminine facial features will cause potential clients to not take him seriously. The scarf was used to his advantage though, becoming his trademark as he built a reputation for himself. He has high boots with daggers hiding inside, a waist belt holding a small pouch, and a medium length leather jacket that he wore as a coat.

Character Description: Lean and tall — a fighter’s body covered in black clothing. Light, even-toned skin. Very good looking. Some would even describe as pretty. Black hair with natural waves, loosely tight in the back. Deep blue/green cat’s eyes.

History: Louie (Lucifer) was created based on a military combat model, but used a real human’s brain map as the basis for his personality design. Most military models use a generic design with little to no human features and capability of facial expression. Some are required to look and act like a human though, and are designed as such by special order. Louie was one such case — designed for assassination, and to gain the trust of humans in working towards that objective. To His brain map was taken from a database collected from another experiment whose existence was denied. Some of the AI types in the database included servants, helpers and workers. They were designed to be stable and reliable for completing labor tasks, and do not have the human brain map.

Louie was created to fulfill one of these special orders. Like all AIs, his mission order was embedded in his brain mapping, but he, as a “newborn”, was not consciously aware of the order. His family treated him kindly and told him how to act, talk and think like a human. They even requested a human status for him so that he could receive all rights humans had. With human feelings, Louie loved this family and become very attached to them. When the time came for him to complete his mission and commence the assassination, he disobeyed his orders and instead attempted to protect the family as best he could. In the end, he was only able to save one of the children. He watched him throughout his entire life, until he finally passed away naturally, family by his side.

These actions made Louie extremely unpopular among the thinking AIs and his human creators. He was labeled as defective and unstable, among other things. Many efforts were made to retrieve or destroy him, but to no avail. He is now living on his own, as an assassin for hire.

Note: The type of AI referenced is not robots designed to look and act like humans, but artificially manipulated DNA design with nanotechnology grown in a lab. The body’s bones are made of special material that can withstand strong impact, and the body can heal quickly if damaged.
